Meet Kim Irvine, ARNP—recipient of the 2006 Kim Nolan Spirit Award

At the 17th National Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Symposium in Clearwater in October, Kimberly Irvine, ARNP was awarded the Kim Nolan Spirit Award for 2006.

Kim has been an active member of FANNP since the beginning, having served on the Board of Directors as member at large and currently the secretary.  She was a FANNP scholarship recipient while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science.  Kim’s smiling face greets participants at the NNP Symposium each year.  She works tirelessly behind the scenes, doing whatever it takes to make the conference successful!  She is an excellent hostess, frequently opening her home for FANNP Board meetings.  An active member of her church, Kim sings in the choir and participates in various committees. She has worked as a transport nurse and NNP for almost 30 years. A very reliable, conscientious worker, with exemplary clinical skills, she is very compassionate and promotes family-centered care.

As a KNSA recipient, Kim will receive complimentary conference registration and accommodations for the 18th NNP Symposium, the Lladro “Angel with Child” figurine, a framed certificate, membership for one year, and recognition at the conference and in the newsletter.
